Thanks for the link love, Eric!
We’re still thrilled with the Juice Pack Air.
Cheers,

One thing I want to see on the next version of this product is the ability to place it into a standard iPhone/iPod Touch charging dock of some kind. In other words, I want to charge both the JP Air and my iPhone at the same time in a dock without having to remove my iPhone from the JP Air.
You could possibly accomplish this in two ways…
1) Since a lot of the docks out there cause the iPhone to sink down into the dock by just a matter of millimeters, effectively preventing an iPhone from being able to be plugged in while in a protective case, make a short extension adaptor of some kind that would plug into the bottom of the JP Air which would then allow the entire unit (with iPhone) to be raised up just far enough that it could plug into any standard dock or most other third-party product with an integrated iPhone dock (like this type of dock product: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665911576#additionalImage1%22).
2) Build a desktop dock yourself that is completely compatible with the JP Air.
I just prefer desktop docks for my iPhone. I don’t prefer having some loose cable strewn all across my desk and having to lay my iPhone down flat. A dock is nice because it not only looks nicer and keeps things cleaner by reducing ugly cable clutter, but it also keeps the iPhone up off the desk which places the screen at a nice viewing angle, reducing scratches on the back of the unit, and making for a smaller footprint on any flat surface.
Mophie making a dock of their own would be a smart move. In fact, Mophie making both a JP Air compatible dock of their own AND an extension adaptor (like I described above) would the best thing.
Hey, just more money in your pocket, right?
Seriously guys, please consider this.
Thanks for reading!
Comment by AZ — September 24, 2009 @ 2:06 amI would like a male mini-USB to female iPod connector cable. That way I could plug the iPhone using air into any device that uses a male iPod connector, like an FM transmitter for example.
Comment by henning — October 29, 2009 @ 9:42 am@henning: The thing is, we would’ve already put a female 30pin iPod connector on the bottom of the juice pack, but apple doesn’t license their female connectors… so therefore, we can not use it.
Comment by Eric — October 29, 2009 @ 9:49 amI found this review of the Juice Pack Air as well, so far I love mine!

Comment by John — November 25, 2009 @ 1:35 pmI really like your product… the Air is just about the perfect size and helps me actually hold the phone more easily and securely.
If I were to ask for a more universal adaptation… It would be for the air to have a mini USB NOT a micro USB connection. Micro cables are hard to find randomly and a mini to standard USB seems to be pretty ubiquitous.
I’m thinking of getting the standard juice pack just because of that connection although I prefer the protection and profile of the JP Air.
Come on now. one cable for everyone please… can’t we all just get along?
Thanks
Comment by jon — December 14, 2009 @ 10:30 pmThis is an awesome product. I now have extra battery life on my phone specially when travelling overseas. The only problem with this product is it so slippery. You have to be careful not to loosen your grip or else you will drop your phone. There should be some kind of rubber on the side so that it won’t slip out of your hand. Even on an uneven surface it could slip and fall on the floor. Just something for the manufacturer to consider on possible redesign.
