Very interesting, but debit cards are probably not supported as they normally require a certified pinpad. Chips are probably not supported too.
Comment by David Pontbriand — January 8, 2010 @ 12:43 pmHow does one provide a signature? Stylus?
Comment by Aaron — January 8, 2010 @ 8:35 pmWould like to know if debit cards will be supported, just as Eric discussed in the previous post.
Comment by Owen — January 11, 2010 @ 1:36 amlike you would if you used one in a restaraunt, debit cards can be used the same as credit cards (in the US at least) so thats an easy fix right there. is this universal with every credit card app or does it only work with a certain app right now?
Comment by chris — January 11, 2010 @ 2:29 pmHi,

Love my iphone, love viewing my balance with Mobank and love my juice pack air. Gadgets are cool!
Comment by manxpk — January 21, 2010 @ 11:25 amIs this device only for credit cards or does this work for debit cards as well?

Comment by Walid — January 28, 2010 @ 5:18 amIs this also compatible with debit card?
Comment by Kristina — January 28, 2010 @ 11:42 am@Aaron: You can provide a signature with a stylus or just your finger. We’ve been doing a lot of finger signatures lately and it works great.
Comment by Eric — February 17, 2010 @ 2:47 pm@chris: Hey Chris. The marketplace does work with credit and debit cards. It really will work with anything that has a magnetic strip as long as there is an app for it. We do have our own app for it but you will be able to use it on other credit card apps too!
Comment by Eric — February 17, 2010 @ 2:49 pmHey guys, Will you guys be integrated with a merchant or will the purchaser of this product have to find one on their own? Similar to any POS CC machine? I love it and looks better than the square…but a one stop shop is invaluable for my small mobile business. Thanks
Comment by Alex — February 24, 2010 @ 12:55 pm@Alex: Hey Alex, We can’t get into much detail about it yet, but i think you’re onto something…
Comment by Eric — March 4, 2010 @ 3:29 pmWhat’s the timeline on this? Is it in beta yet? Are we talking release plans for 2010, or later?
Comment by Layne — April 6, 2010 @ 5:45 pmCan you give an estimated date when this will be released? I’d love to be able to use it at the farmer’s market I sell at which starts in May.
Also, Can you use any merchant account or will it be afiliated with a certain bank?
